DESIGN BRIEF

⦁ Design a furniture for outdoor deck, targeting the customers who have a deck at the backyards or for commercial use.

⦁ The end product will be one where the user can use to relax and unwind and most importantly use it when fishing on a deck.

⦁ The furniture need to be weather proof, most importantly water resistance and less heat absorption.

⦁ It should be able to move around the deck easily.

⦁ It will be builds with strong and durable materials.

⦁ The furniture need to be safe and easy to operate, no age restriction to it.

⦁ The furniture need to be multi-functional.

⦁ The design is suitable for anyone of any height despite it being one size only.

⦁ The design has to be minimum cleaning and maintenance needs.

Reflection.

I can say that this is the first time we designing a brief for ourselves in this design life. I never expect that designing or setting a brief is not easy at all. It always seems to be easy and simple but actually there is a lot of things to take under considerations. For example, setting the target users and the functions, we couldn't really set it to be too specific but can't be too general at the same time. Besides that, setting the materials of the furniture is also quite a painful job. But after all, we can already set a certain limits to our own, but there is no too much limitations till we can't really "fly".
